“Never Let Fear Go To Waste” – Corporate Motto

April 18, 2017
Remember when I said that because of the 19 months of intense fear and hysteria deliberately aimed at the American people during the election… it would not be over on election day? By now, it is as clear as a country stream that I was right.
Far too many people allowed themselves to get habituated to the election cycle’s media onslaught of fear, rage, and hysteria and now they just cannot let it go.
They have accepted the fear and rage, they have internalized it. For many Americans, fear and rage are here to stay.
Ever see people who, 25 years after a divorce, still obsess on and on about an ex? That is the condition of many people now. And the whole Russia panic stems from that. Somebody “other” must be to blame because I AM GOOD.
That 19 month orgy of election fear and rage was a calculated, sadistic thing done to Americans for the gain of a small group of people. And if only a small percentage of the public became deranged in the face of this constant barrage of fear and rage, that amounts to millions of people.
We were played.
We were tortured.
We were mind-fucked.
For 19 months.
Prisons are forbidden to do these things to inmates. But corporate media does it to us all. And we are considered “free”.
Corporations make money from fear. Whether they sell us deodorant, guns, or war… fear to them means money in the bank.
“News” ratings (which translate to dollars) skyrocket in war time. You think, knowing that, that media corporations leave war to mere chance?
Yes, America endured a well-coordinated brainwashing for 19 months. And casualties were not just inevitable, they were desired!  Keeping people like this means money. Media barons knew full well that many people cannot walk away from that kind of brainwashing intact. Remember this when you see people who idolize a candidate – and refuse to let go. Saying such insane things as “he” or “she” is THE REAL PRESIDENT.
TV producers and their partners in advertising live to erase reality and replace it with an illusion that benefits their corporations.  And they are highly rewarded for this action.
Why do you suppose someone like Rachel Maddow insists on pushing unproven “reality” theories on her viewers five nights a week? Maddow has 30,000 reasons for doing this – every day.
And she is not alone. We have no idea who writes the things she, and others of her odious ilk, deliver into our homes. We know nothing about these people who continue the fear and rage that was stoked during the election.Nothing except the clear fact that they feed on the fear and rage like vampires feeding on our blood. They live for this. That is their job.

News today has become that guy in the saloon who eggs on two drunks till they beat each other senseless. Nothing ever happens to him, though. Today, international news in American media boils down to that guy saying, “Are you gonna take that from him?”
We desperately need free universal mental health care in this country because we have media corporations dedicated to messing with our minds.
We need it to cope with and repair the damage inflicted by corporate media.
Whether media corporations do this stuff to get us to crave a useless product or they do it to get us to accept the latest war – they are screwing with our minds in an unethical and immoral – but highly profitable way.
And the society we now live in is the result.

Seeing Danger Everywhere

March 9, 2017
—–
Last year former CIA head Leon Panetta found himself drowned out at the Democratic convention with shouts of NO MORE WAR:

Just a few days ago, the 78 year-old Panetta told CBS news that Trump’s tweeting weakens the presidency and  (GASP!) prevents him from starting wars. This… is a disappointment to him?

“I think, I think that is raising the most serious danger with regards to the ability of this president to relate to a very dangerous world,” Panetta said.

Dangerous world…

One of the key components of the far right-wing mindset is the firm belief that we live in a dangerous world which must be subdued and conquered through strength.

Rudy Giuliani is a case in point.
I remember seeing Giuliani give a speech to the GOP convention back when he was considered relevant. Like many conservatives he sees threats everywhere. After that, he spoke about this almost every time he delivered a speech. He insists that the world is a dangerous place, filled with people who want to kill us.

How does this happen to a person?

As with many fear-based people, Giuliani suffered early-childhood abuse at the hands of his parents and he now labels that very abuse as the best thing that ever happened to him.
Giuliani – even today at age 72 – tells the story of being a 3 year-old in Brooklyn where the other kids worshiped, as children are often wont to do, the Brooklyn Dodgers, their local baseball team.
At that time, Giuliani’s father – for reasons unknown, other than the fact that his record shows him to be a sadistic thug (of the type Giuliani later make a career out of prosecuting) – would dress little Rudy in a NY Yankees uniform and send him out of the house. For wearing the uniform of the Brnox team in Brooklyn, Rudy would get beaten up. Every day. And his old man did nothing to help. In fact, he just kept sending Rudy out in that uniform – which all the other kids hated.
Sounds pretty grim, right?
But Giuliani says that what his father did helped build character. Well, yeah, a WARPED character.
From the NY Times in 1989:
When Mr. Giuliani was about 3 years old, his father, a dedicated Yankees fan, bought his son a Yankees uniform and cap. Mr. Giuliani’s mother dressed him in the uniform and sent him out to play in Flatbush. He was pounced on by a group of boys almost immediately. They were Dodger fans.
”They took the hat and threw it in the mud,” Mr. Giuliani recalled. ”They threw me in the mud, too, and probably whacked me around a little bit. I ran upstairs and either my mother or father said, ‘Well, now you’re going to be a Yankee fan.’
”So,” he continued, ”I kept wearing that Yankee uniform, and I kept getting thrown in the mud.”
He is still a Yankee fan.
Note the repression: the kids PROBABLY whacked him around. He doesn’t know? He cannot tell if his mother or father gave him dubious advice that he still obeys, yet he QUOTES that advice?
He was THREE YEARS OLD at the time and was still relating this tale of woe at age 45.
At over 70 he continues.
These are signs that a person suffered greatly and still carries it about in a repressed/mythologized way. Is the brutality Rudy suffered at the hands of the kids at a truly formative age, and his family’s indifference to his suffering, the reason for his seeing the world as a dangerous place? For him, at the time it was dangerous! Whatever the cause – and this is the alarming part – Giuliani STILL insists on wearing a Yankee uniform whenever he can. He sends out SIGNED pictures of himself this way. As an old man, Giuliani is still reacting to a situation that happened in 1947…
Compare Giuliani’s story with the story of Hillary Clinton’s mother having thrown her out of the house at age 4 – and her need to repeat the tale over and over and over while insisting that it was an act of motherly love and character building. Hillary’s mother did this because Hillary was abused by bullies and she came home crying. Clearly what the mother did – rejecting a child in pain – was worse than anything the other kids did. A 4 year-old RELIES on the parent. But her mother punished her in a most horrible way that without doubt set off a crisis of separation anxiety. And this too NEVER left Mrs. Clinton. Even as an elder, she still needs to please her dead mother:
People with untreated/unresolved childhood trauma are not “crazy” nor are they necessarily “bad” people. They are damaged people. These people suffer deeply yet they will never acknowledge it. After 60 years of living like this, it becomes not a part of who they are but who they are in their entirety. And putting such people in positions of power is dangerous. Lethal. Ask the surviving citizens of Libya and Honduras – where Hillary “stood up to bullies” – how they liked having her help…
Clearly, there exists in such damaged people a stubbornness that makes them adhere to the self-created mythology of their brutal childhood – while projecting it onto the world. They still say, to dead parents, It’s NOT my fault, Mommy/Daddy! The WORLD is DANGEROUS! Don’t blame ME!
In my work as a Tarot Consultant I regularly hear from people who have undergone the most horrible things that life can throw at a person. Yet they sought out help and coped with the problems in a productive way. They all have in common a willingness – a desire! – to face the issue and resolve it so they may not be dominated by dead fears.
None of us grew up unscathed. But many of us got help in dealing with these things rather than allow them to fester to the point where we compulsively live our lives in reaction to a situation that no longer exists.
On a personal note: For years I have told people that I had a childhood only Charles Dickens could have written. I can never undo it – but I don’t have to mythologize it. The physical torture I endured and the mental abuse – these are part of who I am and always will be, but they do not RULE or DEFINE who I am.
Because I got help.
The last thing I can imagine about myself is that at age 70+ I will be standing in front of people I don’t know, repeating day after day stories of early childhood abuse and praising my parents for inflicting this damage on me.
Looking at Hillary Clinton and Giuliani, I have to wonder what happened to Panetta so many, many years ago that now, at age 78, he can face a crowd of THOUSANDS saying to him NO MORE WARS and have it mean absolutely nothing to him. He SMILED at this! I would certainly question myself if I underwent that experience. Judging from his subsequent comments, Panetta only saw that as confirmation that the world is dangerous – meaning, the world is against him personally.
Do we really want such people in charge of our society?
Really?

1955’s TRIAL… Nothing New Under The Sun

February 18, 2017

trialtc

This post concerns a rarely seen film. A powerful film; which may explain why it rarely got shown since its release in 1955. New to home video, it dealt with a topical subject when made. And, sadly, the raw ugly truth it conveys about American life remains topical over 60 years later.

triallc41

As noted thousands of years ago “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.” Specific issues may change, but society always remains the same, explosive powder keg awaiting a match, often applied by the very people who trick us into believing they want to help us or lead us. Left and Right will mean nothing if the powder keg blows up. And someone always profits from the blast.

In the film TRIAL, each extreme gets revealed as equally deadly when a town becomes a pressure cooker of conflict over a seeming murder.

triallc3

The story seems deceptively simple: A sheltered law professor with no experience beyond a classroom gets caught up in the real world – and learns that he knows almost nothing about the real practice of law.  If you think America today with its political opportunists who say one thing but do another, who spread racism for profit in new – this film from 1955 (though set in 1947) will show you that nothing has changed. Including those “tolerant liberals” who, inside, harbor just as much prejudice as any klansman.

All sorts of people get involved in a racially charged murder case for all manner of personal profit. We gradually discover that each character has a personal axe to grind: Holding on to a law professor job. Running for governor. Keeping real estate values high. Remaining police chief. Proving himself above racism. And, most deadly, changing society at any cost. As the story unfolds, each character willingly – eagerly! – turns up the heat under the pressure cooker to further his own needs.

trialstill2

This tension creates a crackling, powerful film about extremists of all sorts. Some elements in the film will seem quaint now, but substitute modern groups like the DNC – who want their way regardless of the consequences – and it still works. What kind of a group will gladly cause horrific damage just so they can proclaim “WE TOLD YOU SO” in order to raise money for themselves?
See what I mean? Still works today.

Opportunists willing to destroy everything and anyone to promote themselves have always operated freely among us. Sometimes they win. Sometimes they get opposed successfully. But first we must know them when we encounter them; something not always so easy to see.  When our passions get roused, when we believe that we can clearly tell the “good” people from the “bad,” then we make ourselves ripe for the picking. We blindly give those with ulterior motives the power to manipulate us.

As the lead character says early on: “I learned a long time ago that when someone says ‘decide right now’ that that’s the time to take your time.” He knows this. Does he do it?

Fundamentally, this film presents a cautionary tale about the difference between knowing the right thing and doing the right thing. Passion and certainty cloud the mind. Whether in the courtroom or the bedroom. This film could easily get set in today’s America, using any “populist” movement in place of that shown from the 1940s. As one character slyly notes, “never trust anyone”. Especially those you consider leaders. You may not really know what goals they have dedicated themselves to.

angel_blake_jail

Little wonder TRIAL never made it to home video till 2014. It says things which even today most people just refuse to hear.

Over the years, Mark Robson proved himself a serious film director and the novelist/screenwriter Don Mankiewicz, son of Herman, had solid credentials as well. Mankiewicz lived a long life, till 2015, so he must have seen the situations in his story played out over and over and over.

TRAIL deceives. This film looks like one thing (another courtroom drama, though an excellent, realistic one) yet, like the events depicted, TRIAL really shows another thing. Glenn Ford performs at his best here as the Ivory Tower lawyer who gets, reluctantly, a taste of the real world. Katy Jurado again plays her patented “suffering Mexican mother,” Rafael Campos appears as the young man who might have… or perhaps not…
Of particular note to me: The cinematography of Robert Surtees. It heightens the proceedings with some genuine surprises. Juano Hernandez as the judge performs up to his usual high standards and excels as a man who faces heat from all sides. Arthur Kennedy snared an Oscar® nomination for playing the smartest man in the room. Perhaps too damn smart…

trial_feb-18-2017-3-31-28-pm

I consider TRIAL worth seeing to understand much of today’s events, for it presents a warning against extremism when it comes cloaked in virtue. Don’t all extremists believe they alone know the “truth”?

Always question. Always look deeper. Never call anything true for no other reason than it comforts you or reinforces your beliefs.

Do so, and you likely don’t know any more than the people who pull the strings on the puppets want you to know. Consider instead the very real possibility that you, yourself, represent the main puppet.

Keep your eye on the prize and you’ll always lose sight of everything else.

He Sure Has A Lot To Learn About Being President…

February 8, 2017

President Trump could have avoided all the lawsuits and all that protesting if, instead of banning travel from those 7 countries, he dropped 27,000 bombs on them. Per year.
THAT, nobody cares about… It worked wonders for the other guy.

Gullible People, Rise Up!

January 29, 2017
The 19 month election was a fear-con. We were given nothing but NAZI! FASCIST! WE’RE GONNA DIE! over and over.
People were scared and angry.
People are still scared and angry.
Angry, frightened people are very easy to con.
For instance, how many of us believed the story that Trump’s travel ban excluded nations he does business with?
His ban only mentions one nation: SYRIA. The others are “nations of concern” as listed in a law signed by Pres. Obama.
Remember the protest when that happened?
Neither do I.
You may wish to educate yourself HERE
screen-shot-2017-01-29-at-6-46-13-pm
But fear and anger is what led people to buy, without question, the fake story about Trump’s business interests. As if he really has any!
Fooling people by making them scared and angry is such an old technique that there was a Broadway show about exactly this technique.
So if you believed that Trump specifically named 7 countries and excluded those he does business with, then you were played as easily as the corn-fed jays in Iowa.

Stop Whining. Trump’s PLAYING You

January 7, 2017
“I know how to work the media in a way that they will never take the lights off of me.” – Donald Trump, 2014, on running for president
It astounds me to see ADULTS whining and wetting their pants about Trump on twitter. All that he does must be seen in light of the above statement.
Trump is using an old corporate technique called MANAGEMENT BY REVOLUTION.
The new boss comes in and makes himself known immediately.
Generally there is one high-profile firing at the start, but the method always gets going with a stream of memos so that people definitely feel the new presence and don’t speak about the way the previous boss did things. The old management is O-U-T.
He’s saying OBAMA IS GONE. I AM IN CHARGE.
All the media coverage about fake Russian hacking of the election is no more than an attempt to undermine the authority of the new boss, like people in a company undermining the new boss – and Trump will combat that by forcing media attention on himself.
He will do it as long as he feels it is necessary to whip media in line.
Remember how Nixon got ragged for saying “I AM the president”? Same thing.
He has known precisely what he is doing all along – and THAT is what upsets people who want to believe he’s an idiot.
Go underestimate him. Here’s Trump with a roomful of people who underestimated him:

A Manhattan Christmas Story

December 21, 2016

rockefeller-tree

NOTE: Not long ago we received this memory from an unnamed Hell’s Kitchen writer, who assures us that his neighbors all pass him on the street every day… without ever seeing him.

When my kids were little, long before I became what I am now, which is a booze-hound, Christmas time was always something special. It still is special for me ‘cause they haven’t yet closed down all the soup kitchens. The City Fathers missed a couple of soup kitchens in their drive to improve the quality of life in this town by killing off everybody who doesn’t work three jobs and make a hundred grand a year just to pay the rent. So I can still look forward to a meal of turkey with trimmings in some church basement somewhere. Along with the food, the do-gooders give us bums little Christmas presents. It’s nice. Don’t you like getting presents? I do. Last year I got some Old Spice and a soap on a rope. It was green and shaped like a seahorse. I liked the way it smelled. But I accidentally left my soap hanging in the rooming house bathroom down the hall one day and that was the last I saw of it. I don’t know why, but when I found the soap was gone I cried like a baby for two hours. And I never cry. A stupid piece of cheap soap. Archie the bartender who took the pledge was right. Booze does turn your brain to mush.

It was Christmas time and I ran out of money again. A card game this time. Looking for free things to do, I thought it might be fun to see the tree at Rockefeller Center. I usually enjoy the colored lights and all the happy kids giggling and acting like, well, like happy kids. So yesterday, even though I had no money to speak of, I left my room and headed over there. In the daylight you could see that this was one hell of a big tree. Why’d they go kill it? I stood in the part of the plaza they call the Channel Gardens cause on one side is a British building and on the other side is a French building. I was looking at the tree when I noticed this woman with her son. The kid was about six, I guess, no more than seven, and the woman had him bundled all up like he was Neil Armstrong setting foot on the moon even though it wasn’t really so cold out. It couldn’t have been cold cause I was there and I don’t own a coat. That’s why I’m inside today, writing this. Today it’s freezing out. And I don’t own a coat. So this woman has her kid by the hand and says, “look, Lawrence, look at the nice tree. It’s beautiful isn’t it.” She wasn’t so much asking him as she was telling him. Surprisingly, the kid said “no.”

“But it is beautiful,” the mama said, giving the kid a little tap on the back of the head.

“It is not,” the boy insisted.

“Yes it is,” she said, giving him a harder tap.

“I don’t like it.”

“Yes you do!”

This time she gave the kid a clip on the head so hard that I could feel it. The boy wobbled a bit but held his ground.

“It isn’t beautiful! It stinks!”

“It is beautiful!” she says then CRACK! a tremendous shot across the back of the kid’s head. In my day, I seen prize fighters kiss the canvas on less.

“Isn’t mommy right? Isn’t the tree beautiful?”

When the boy didn’t answer, she lifted her hand again.

“It’s so beautiful, mommy,” he said like he really meant it.

“Don’t you just love it?”

“Yes mommy, I love it. I love it.”

“And do you love mommy?”

“Yes. I love mommy.”

She smiled and they went away, both of them happy. I’d hate to be around when this kid gets married. His wife cuddles up to him and coos, “do you love me?” and he says “I love you more than anything” then he proves it to her by belting her right in the sweetbreads. I only hope he finds somebody who’s into that kind of thing. There’s plenty of them out there.

I looked back at the tree, and so help me, now I didn’t think it was very beautiful. Then I cringed, almost feeling a swift hard smack on the back of my head. I turned around as fast as I could and went across the street and down the block to St. Patrick’s Cathedral. I prayed for that kid.

“What little children learn, they can never forget.”
– Rabbi Sardonicus the Elder (Collected Aphorisms & Sayings, vol. 18)

Surprised by the outburst of anti-Russia sentiments? Not me!
I saw us headed into “Cold War, Part 2” the moment I heard people calling Bernie Sanders a communist who honeymooned in Moscow. At that moment, I had not one doubt that the nation would head in that direction.

The Cold-War brainwashing of the 1940s-1960s lodged deep in the American psyche and there it will stay for at least 3 more generations.

The Anti-Russia propaganda which defined the Cold War filled an atavistic need.  It supplied us with a common enemy, fueled TEAM SPIRIT, and allowed us to cringe in fear without seeming cowardly. After all, the EVIL RUSSIA held our future in their hands!

Such good old days… After the USSR collapsed (as it always gets framed) Americans experienced a surge in jingoistic pride. Then came the let-down. After hating and fearing and feeling smugly superior, we found ourselves all on our own, adrift in a world of peace. Oh, the horror!

Since the USSR died, America has groped blindly for a new Big Enemy so that we may return to those shining days of pride coupled with mortal terror. Over the years, corporate media tried and tried to build up new enemies: Muslims. ISIS. Al Qaeda. Libya. Al-Shabaab… All fell flat, compared to our erstwhile partner in the Dance of Death.

Yes, America failed to find a new enemy, so we had to gag on our pride and return to our comfort zone of fear: Russia.

As the swallows have no choice but to return to Capistrano, America’s destiny always lay back in Russia. We’ve longed to return to hatred and fear of Russia since the days of Mikhail Gorbachev, who ruined everything for us. Without Russia, whatever went wrong in America had to get blamed on… us! Nooooooooooo!!! Not that!!!!

Did you ever wonder about those couples who marry, then divorce, then get back together again, then divorce, then… on and on? Wonder no more! We have returned to our Number One enemy and it goes down like Mac and Cheese for many people.

Old enemies soothe us as nothing else can. So when all the election year fear-mongering hit a boiling point, it quite naturally spilled all over dear old mother Russia. It had to. Predictability-wise, nothing comes close.  The electioneering fear that filled us drove us right back to our DUCK & COVER, “better dead than red” training.

2f326a68d6d18f0c07102af8218c9342

Now see how happy it makes people? John McCain looks positively orgasmic! President Obama gets a new chance to please his parents’ generation. Liberals can now call anyone who disagrees with them TRAITORS! Conservatives can say WE TOLD YOU SO! The bile and vodka have commenced to flow in an orgy of hate and fear. Just like the old days. Our NATIONAL RELIGION HAS RETURNED.

And the benefits have already begun! We have no more internal problems in the Home of the Brave! THE RUSSIANS INSTIGATED EVERYTHING! We have clean hands… No matter what goes wrong, THE RUSSIANS DID IT!

brazile
Oh happy day! Old-Timers have joy on their faces as they slam THE EVIL EMPIRE once again. Younger people can now score points with Gramps as they regurgitate the fears and hatreds of the past, all joining hands again in blast of retro-paranoia.
After decades stumbling in the wilderness, a generation of Americans trained to hate and fear Russia has at last made it back home.

To those who cannot cope with reality as adults, and need to return to the safety of their long-gone childhood, it must feel so damn good.

We can now bask in a warm wave of nostalgia for the bad old days.
Our world has returned to normal.
We can forsake adulthood and return to a childhood where we never have to accept responsibility.

HOORAY!!! We now have the right to hate Russia. Again.

About The Election…

December 8, 2016

This is all I will say on the election for quite some time:

As I listen to noted “progressives” and “leftists” currently bemoaning the election of Donald Trump, it becomes clear that they think we had a marvelously progressive, 180º opposite, Democratic candidate in November and we blew it by picking Hitler.

Don’t they recall what the choice really was?

In setting the record straight, a phrase beloved of Mrs. Clinton’s acolytes as they distorted her record of war and under-achievement, I can only repeat some facts:

1) Polling consistently showed that nearly 60% of Trump voters DO NOT support him. They voted for him only as a way of stopping Hillary Clinton. All the hand-wringing over the “racists” and “nazis” and “angry white people” who allegedly voted for Trump crumbles when this is taken into consideration. But it never is mentioned. It is far easier to demonize and rationalize than to analyze.

2) Scared because Trump denies environmental science? The Democrat “alternative” was also a science denier – one must be a denier in order to support fracking. So we had ZERO choice there.

3) Trump will start WW3? The Democrat “alternative” was also a war-mongering, China threatening, candidate as we witness in her own words: “Russia’s hacked into a lot of things. China’s hacked into a lot of things. Russia even hacked into the Democratic National Committee, maybe even some state election systems. So, we’ve got to step up our game. Make sure we are well defended and able to take the fight to those who go after us. As President, I will make it clear, that the United States will treat cyber attacks just like any other attack. We will be ready with serious political, economic and military responses.”
And then we have her stated desire to “ring China with missile defense” to protect against North Korea and set up a no-fly zone in Syria (where she personally sabotaged a cease-fire), and to rig elections in other nations. She publicly supported the concept and execution of covert wars of regime change.  Zero choice there.

4) Aghast that Trump nominated people from Goldman Sachs and other Wall Street banks to his proposed cabinet? Have we already forgotten the $22,000,000 Wall Street Banks paid to Clinton in just under 24 months? You think they did that with no expectation of results? Again, ZERO choice.

5) Opposing dangerous pipelines an issue? Have we also forgotten the millions of dollars Mrs. Clinton snatched up for speeches made in Canada where she spoke in direct support of the Keystone XL pipeline?  Zero choice again.

6) Libya, Syria, Honduras… and the “progressives” think we mistakenly elected a war-monger? We had no choice BUT to elect one.

7) Worried about the privatization (destruction) of Social Security under Trump? Again, ZERO choice in that regard. Clinton repeatedly spoke of means-testing social security as a way to make it over as welfare for the “neediest recipients,” as she phrased it. And she has a track record, through the Democratic Leadership Council and her support of her “co-president’s” welfare reform, of gutting the safety net. How long before she’d have talked in glowing terms of “ending Social Security as we know it”?

8) Afraid we will lose our precious constitutional rights under Trump? If so… where have you been? Hillary Clinton made her campaign a vote on continuing the Obama legacy. Look at the rights that man took away as he gleefully continued and expanded the “W” legacy. Think SNOWDEN. On this point, I agree with friend John Hubbard who noted that fighting for our rights mean nothing if WW3 busts out, and, as noted above, Clinton showed all the signs of itching to start the Big One. Trump may be a threat to many treasured government protections and programs. Hillary was, as the pentagon calls them, an EXISTENTIAL threat to our very survival. Her insane plans for a no-fly zone in Syria (where the crumbling, feeble ISIS doesn’t have a single aircraft) was meant to provoke the Russians – who in her demented view are the bullies standing between herself and the love her mother denied her. Eliminating this crazy person was priority #1. We took care of that. Now on to fighting Trump if you disagree with him. At least we are alive to do it.

9) Don’t know where Trump stands on issues from day to day? He seems “unpredictable”? Ok. How do you know where Clinton stands? I refer you to WikiLeaks and Clinton’s stunning admission that she holds one position in public and another in private. There is no way of knowing what, aside from her own ambition, Clinton believes in. Again, ZERO choice.

10) Here is the bottom line as I see it: Because of corporate media collusion with the two dominant parties, we had a pair of crappy candidates to decide between. Either way we were going to get a crappy president. With Trump, we got a crappy president AND we got rid of the money grubbing, influence peddling Clinton “dynasty” – including the atrocious Rodham Brothers (conveniently hidden this time around). That is called taking lemons and making lemonade.

Acting as though America elected a despot – when there were two despots running for Imperial President – misses the point and evinces a peculiar form of denial.

Given the choice we had, not the choice we wish we had – to paraphrase old Rumsfeld – I believe the nation made the only proper decision. We shattered Bill Clinton, Inc. and showed the democrats that they cannot run hacks from the past and expect their traditional voters to support them.

Now that voters have eliminated the neo-liberal DLC candidate, we will turn our concentration to the task neutralizing the objectionable parts of Trump’s neo-Reagan agenda.

But that takes work, and it requires letting go of the constant parade of fake predictions that fill news outlets (even as they whine about “fake news”) as if we have not endured 16 straight years of the very things people now claim only Trump will suddenly bring.

Work.

Not whining about the election.

Work.

Not the Oppression Olympics, which says that only certain people have a right to say they will suffer under Trump.

Work.

If you oppose Trump, you have just UNDER TWO YEARS to flip the congress.

That is the same amount of time Hillary Clinton devoted to getting her $22,000,000 from Wall Street.
